Study: Phylogenomics supports the monophyly of the Cercozoa
show Abstracthide Abstract
The Cercozoa is a large protozoan phylum but its phylogeny is unclear. To resolve the phylogeny of the Cercozoa, we generated three new transcriptomes from different cercozoan species, including a new species, Lapot gusevi. We used these transcriptomes, along with previously published data, to perform a phylogenomic analysis. Our phylogenies show that the Cercozoa is monophyletic.
